Resources for Entrepreneurs

UT provides several resources to support Vol entrepreneurs.

  • The Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation helps budding entrepreneurs succeed, connecting you with mentors and resources that enable you to successfully start and grow new ventures.
  • The UTRF Business Incubator supports technology-enabled companies whose products/services are based on UT technology, who are affiliated with UT researchers or started by UT students.
  • UT’s Center for Industrial Services helps small businesses improve their economic competitiveness, including helping small businesses compete for SBIR and STTR funds.
  • Looking to develop a social mission organization, contact the UT Consortium for Social Enterprise Effectiveness.
  • Develop your customer discovery and investor pitch skills by participating in I-Corps at UT as you move innovation beyond the lab and into the marketplace.
  • Innovation CrossRoads, a program run by Oak Ridge National Laboratory, connects the nation’s top innovators, i.e., you, our budding entrepreneurs, with experts, mentors, and networks in technology-related fields to take world-changing ideas from research and development (R&D) to the marketplace
  • LaunchTN empowers entrepreneurs by facilitating capital formation, market building, and resource connection through LaunchTN’s Network Partners.
